Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy defines the boundaries of responsible use of Codewick. It applies to all users and is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service. Our goal is to maintain a safe, reliable service for everyone.

2. Prohibited Uses

You may not use Codewick to:

• Generate malware or exploits — create viruses, ransomware, trojans, exploit code, or any software designed to damage, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to systems.
• Bypass security measures — circumvent authentication, access controls, rate limits, or other protective mechanisms in Codewick or any third-party system.
• Produce harassment or hate content — generate threatening, abusive, discriminatory, or hateful content targeting individuals or groups based on protected characteristics.
• Infringe intellectual property — reproduce copyrighted code, datasets, or other protected material in violation of applicable law or licensing terms.
• Engage in automated abuse or scraping — use bots, scripts, or automated tools to abuse Codewick's AI features, exfiltrate data, or consume resources beyond normal usage patterns.
• Resell access — share, sublicense, or resell your Codewick account or access to its AI features to third parties without written authorization.

3. Content Policy

Codewick integrates third-party AI models, each of which has its own content and safety policies. These upstream policies apply to all AI-generated output within Codewick.

Codewick does not override, weaken, or circumvent the content policies of its AI providers. If an AI model declines a request, that decision is final within Codewick. Attempting to systematically bypass model-level content restrictions is a violation of this policy.

4. Enforcement

We take violations seriously. If we determine that your use of Codewick violates this policy, we may, at our discretion:

• Issue a warning and request that you cease the violating activity.
• Temporarily suspend your account while we investigate.
• Permanently terminate your account and revoke access to the service.

Where possible, we will notify you of the specific violation and give you an opportunity to respond before taking permanent action. However, we reserve the right to act immediately in cases of severe or ongoing abuse.

5. Reporting

If you believe someone is using Codewick in violation of this policy, please report it to abuse@codewick.ai. Include as much detail as possible. All reports are reviewed and handled confidentially.
